Christopher J. O’Neil, President and Michelle A. Vezina, Scholarship Committee Chairperson and the Board of Directors of the Southcoast Insurance Agents Association Inc. are proud to announce the 2011 recipient of the First Annual College Scholarship, Matthew Chaves. Matthew is the son of Maria Chaves an employee of the J.R. Tallman Insurance Co. Inc. A recent graduate of Taunton High School, Matthew will be attending Bentley University studying business, working toward a degree in accounting or finance.

Mr. Chaves application was selected from many applications submitted by deserving students. We congratulate Matthew and wish him much success with his college career.

The Southcoast Insurance Agents’ Association will award a $1000 scholarship annually to the child or grandchild entering college of a member agency employee. The Southcoast Insurance Agents’ Association Inc. is made up of over forty local independent insurance agencies dedicated to the service of clients and communities throughout Bristol County Massachusetts.
